About Frank

Recently Frank enhanced his fund of knowledge by studying the American judicial system at the Supreme Court Institute for Teachers in Washington DC.  He increased his education about the Founding Fathers by studying George Washington with professor, scholar and author, Denver Brunsman at Mt. Vernon, Virginia and in 2018 Frank studied an additional six Founding Fathers with Richard Brookhiser, bestselling author and editor of the National Review, at New York University. 

Frank Sachs

Frank Sachs is a retired twin cities educator with a BS in American History and a MS in Guidance and Counseling.  He has taught in both public and private schools for 40 plus years.  The last 37 of those years were at The Blake School in Minneapolis where he was a senior administrator and taught in the Social Studies department.  During the majority of those years Frank taught primarily AP US Government and Politics, US Constitutional Law and American History while serving as the Director of College Counseling. 

As an educator Frank is the recipient of several honors:

  • Named as a recipient of the Presidential Scholars – Teacher Recognition Award, by the U.S. Department of Education
  • Awarded a Citation of Merit for Outstanding Achievement and a Meritorious Career by his alma mater, The University of Missouri-Columbia
  • Named a Kentucky Colonel, by Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear
  • Faculty Emeritus,  The Blake School

    As a professional Frank lent his time and experience to several Boards both local and national:
